Turkey Chili
My friends have been asking me for one-pot recipes. My favorite is turkey chili. Less cleaning is always a good idea. Rustic and healthy, my girls love it to be served with brown rice or pasta.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/3 cup chopped green pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 can tomato sauce, chopped including liquid 14-ounce can
- 1 can kidney beans, rinsed 14-ounce can
- 1 small carton cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
Instructions
- Spray a large skillet with cooking spray and place over medium heat until hot. Add turkey and cook for a minute.
- Add onion and green pepper. Cool down for another 2 minutes.
- Stir in remaining ingredients and cook for 20 minutes on low heat. Add in fresh basil.
- Serve over a bed of rice or quinoa.

Turkey chili usually leave me ambivalent, but since you’ve chosen to add this to your repertoire I’m going to trust it. I’ll get back to you on this. wink.
