Pisco Sour
Pisco Sour
Have you ever had a pisco sour? It’s Peru’s national drink and one of my favorites. Pisco is a light and luxurious clear liquid that is distilled from pure grapes. I love that it's both sweet and sour. We all know cocktails are loaded with calories so you can sub the sugar for stevia if you like. But I prefer the real deal as life is too short. Cheers!
Equipment
- blender
Ingredients
- 1⅔ fl oz Pisco acholado
- 1 egg white
- 3 drops of Angostura or bitters
Sour Mix
- 1 fl oz. lime juice
- ⅔ fl oz sugar syrup or stevia
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients except the bidders into a blender with 3 ice cubes and blend until smooth.
- Carefully hold the froth back with the lid of the blender and pour the liquid into a chilled glass.
- Add 3 drops of bitters to serve.
Notes
There are many variations of this cocktail with exotic fruits, so feel free to play around!
